In an effort to buck the stated premise of this blog, voters in South Dakota recently passed an anti-corruption measure designed to hold state legislators accountable and clean up campaign financing. However, South Dakota legislators are so against anything akin to "ethics" that they called an emergency session to repeal the act. In their hurry to keep those sweet, sweet lobbyist gifts and lucrative monies flowing their way while keeping it all super-seckret, they've written a repeal bill "so poorly worded it essentially legalizes bribery."
Good on you for trying to do the right thing South Dakota voters! On the other hand - you're the ones that put these greedy bastards in office in the first place......
